Mold was found after it was discovered the water heater was leaking for years.
Mold build up after a water leak was discovered in the basement.
SERVPRO of Canton Mold Remediation and Restoration
Any home or business can quickly become infested with mold with the introduction of a water source, like a roof or plumbing leak. Mold can spread throughout a property in as little as 48-72 hours, and can produce allergens and irritants that have the potential to cause other health effects.
If you suspect that your home or business has a mold problem, SERVPRO of Canton Professionals can inspect and assess your property. If mold is found, they have the training, equipment, and expertise to handle the situation.
Microscopic mold spores exist almost everywhere, outdoors and indoors, making it impossible to remove all mold from a home or business. Some restoration businesses advertise “mold removal” and even guarantee to remove all mold, which is a fallacy. Consider the following mold facts:
- Mold is present almost everywhere, indoors and outdoors.
- Mold spores are microscopic and float along in the air, and may enter your home through windows, doors, or AC/heating systems or even hitch a ride indoors on your clothing or on a pet.
- Mold spores thrive on moisture. Mold spores can quickly grow into colonies when exposed to water.
- Before mold remediation can begin, any sources of water or moisture must be addressed. Otherwise, the mold may return.
- Mold often produces a strong, musty odor and can lead you to possible mold problem areas.
- Even higher-than-normal indoor humidity can support mold growth. Keep indoor humidity below 45 percent.
Duct Cleaning is essential for your home and business.
One of our Duct Cleaning Vendors on site at a home in Canton MI
Did you know that the HVAC industry advises that you have your heating and cooling ducts cleaned every 5-7 years? This is recommended not only for your home but for commercial buildings as well. As part of their service most reputable companies will take before and after photos. The difference you will see can be shocking! Did you also know, that during a smoke or fire damage the soot can travel, not only throughout the entire property but through the entire duct system as well? Here at SERVPRO of Canton we use an independent duct cleaning service as part of our restoration process. Once we have finished cleaning your home or business, the dust and debris that you have been breathing is removed by a truck mounted vacuum process. After the process has been completed you will then have the peace of mind that you are breathing the cleanest air possible. If you need a referral for a duct cleaning company in your area, we would be happy to help, please call SERVPRO of Canton at 1-800-714-5341.
SERVPRO of Canton Specialty Mold Removal.
A storm caused the flooding in this home and caused mold to develop.
In this particular case, specialty equipment would be needed to remediate the mold in the basement of this home. SERVPRO of Canton was able to order an Ice Blasting Machine right away. The Ice Blasting Machine uses dry ice to remove the mold. Our technicians are trained on, not only the Ice Blasting Machine, but other types of specialty equipment as well. This is where we outperform our competition, most of the restoration companies in our area would subcontract this work out to another company, which adds time and extra cost to the bottom line. With our trained technicians we can do this type of work in house. Here at SERVPRO of Canton we see many different scenarios and no two jobs are alike! If you think you have a unique situation in your home or business, please call our office at 1-800-714-5341 and let us give you an estimate for your situation.
